Once a writer, always a writer.
I’ve always loved the magic of words, and have found it much easier to write my feelings than to speak them. My earliest memories of writing included a small project about how a warthog got its tusks in elementary school, or a human who had a vampire for a friend. My sister still swears I had a similar idea for a book before sparkling vampires were a thing (if you know, you know.)
So I told my parents I was going to be a writer. And throughout my college years, I was, along with studying psychology and animal behavior. I was the editor of the college’s literary magazine and wrote for the student newspaper. I connected with professors and students alike, and dreamed of being a published author and college professor.
Then life happened. I spent three years at home after graduation, worked a few odd jobs, and became an admissions and marketing guru for a small independent school. All the while, rarely putting pen to paper (or fingers to the keyboard). The funny thing about life is it has a way of bringing you back to your roots, and I am happy to be exploring the world of publishing my work again. Follow along on my journey!
